My Jump City Challenge

Possibly one of the most exciting and physically challenging sports events I have participated in. Although a little painful, I loved every moment of it. I was nominated by Ebukhosini Forty Three Forty, the NPO which I am a part of, to represent them in this challenge with the primary purpose being to inspire youth in Parkgate Section A to participate in sport.

I began training for this race a month ago. Although, I love sport, I am by no means an athlete. I simply love pushing myself to new limits. Race day approaches and I am as ready as I will ever be. Nervous as I didn't know what to expect however, I was calmed by the sight of participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Moses Mabida Stadium, which would eventually punish us all with it's seemingly endless o amount of stairs.

The Jump City Challenge included running, climbing, crawling, pushing, pulling and just about every other form of exertion one can use. however, i would have to say my favourite would be the jump from a 7 meter high platform into the King's Park Pool.

There are two events in Durban, one in July at uShaka Marine World and the other at People's Park, Moses Mabida Stadium. I think all Durbanites should attempt this awesome race at least once.

I most definately looking forward to this event in 2017.
