Dynasty Kids are Tomorrow's Leaders

I am extremely proud of every one of the children in Dynasty Kids. I have seen them grow this year and move from one level to another. What is very important for me is growth. Growth can only take place if there is empowerment and opportunity. As a leader it is my responsibility to empower my children and then allow them the opportunity to use the skills they have acquired. The New Hope Revival Ministries, Tomorrow's Leaders Annual Christmas Programme 2016 was an opportunity for the young leaders in Dynasty Kids to some of their skills to use.

Dynasty Kids Sunday School

The church which I attend, New Hope Revival Ministries places children's and youth ministry at a very high priority an. We have dedicated teachers in 8 Sunday schools, 7 of them in Phoenix and 1 in Verulam. Throughout the year we spending time equipping and empowering our future leaders with biblical principles. We culminate each year with an afternoon of ministries thought dance drams and skits. Each sunday school is required to dress their kids in a them of choice. We provide hampers and supper the children as well.

Usually, the teachers in a Sunday School would put together all the requirements for the children. This year, i felt that i need to take a different approach with my young leaders from Dynasty Kids. I advised 2 of the young men that they would be spear heading the preparations for this years Christmas Programme. This would include preparation of the outfits, rehearsal for items, the banner and assistant with gifts for the 101 children. I would provide assistance for everything they were not able to to doc like transportation, communications and I promised to handle the gifts the kids.

For outfits we decided on Tie-dye t-shirts. We were assisted by Cheryl Gundert from Westville (Durban). She was a great help to us and guided the kids through every step. Thank you Cheryl!

For the items, the young leaders together two dance dramas and a skit. The items were No Longer slaves and Risen by Israel Houghton

My part was organising the gifts. I thought gift boxes would be better this year for tow reasons. One, we have 101 gifts to purchase and two it would be more personal. Each of our children are unique their for their shirts and gift boxes were all different and unique.

We ended the day with a sumptuous meal.

Overall we were placed as follows:

2nd Place – Dance Drama – No Longer Slaves

3rd Place – Dance Drama – Risen

Special Award – Largest Sunday School
