The worst thing about NHRM family camp 2017!

New Hope Revival Ministries Annual Family Camp 2017 - "A Threefold Chord"

Unlike the other conferences/camps we attend during the year, this retreat is a time for fellowship and relaxation whilst bonding with the people we minister side by side with.

Port Edward Holiday Resort never disappoints with is accommodation and awesome views, however, please be cautious as you attempt to brave the pool in winter. Freezing cold is an understatement.

As is customary the annual volleyball challenge is the sporting highlight of the weekend. However, for our great anglers it was placed on the back burners as they attempted to rid themselves of the stigma, "one man, one fish".

Thanks, to out fantastic cooks, we were treated with sumptuous meals that were prepared by each family and share at lunch whilst over looking the beautiful Indian Ocean.

For me, the highlight of this family camp would be this bunch! This was their first family camp and they had heaps of fun.

Caitlyn, Bianca, Kiara, Leanna, Tyrese, Tasha and Mykalan are from the New View & Verulam metron. They recently joined New Hope Revival Ministries with their respective families this year. They have been faithful at Dynasty Kids Sunday School and are very eager to learn and grow.

Each of them have great potential to be powerful men and women of God. It is a great joy witnessing them embark on this new adventure.

These are future world changers!

All in all it was a time of reflection and an opportunity to bond. together an become a stronger "threefold chord". As human beings we get caught up in the work and sometimes we fail to connect with the people we work next to. Over the years these individuals fill up a large portion of our lives and they become more like family than our biological family.

We ought to understand that it was the love of God that brought us together and it is the love of God that will keep us together.

For that reason, the worst thing about NHRM family camp 2017 was that it had to come to an end.
