The junior youth ministry, i3 Kid's Club at my local church, New Hope Revival Ministries hosted "Dare to be a Daniel", a Junior Youth Camp at the The Mercury Hibberdene Mercury Children's Holiday Home between the 26th April - 28 April 2018. It was an amazing time spent ministering and building relationship with our future leaders.
We had the privileged of hosting more than 104 children from various kids clubs in Phoenix and Verulam. The kids clubs were:
God's Arrows
Lighthouse Kids
Kids on Target
Jars of Clay
Kingdom's Treasure
Teachers had the opportunity to spend time with their children from their respective kids clubs and build new relationships with children other kids clubs. The i3 Kids Club team worked with excellence in organising a camp that will impact every child by leaving an inedible mark on each child's heart.
Each child was treated to their own camper hamper which consisted of a bible, note book, pen, water bottle, pen, toiletry bag filled with the necessities. They also received wristbands and t-shirts.

The children were treated to sessions of impartation where they were empowered with the word of God. The speakers at this camp was Sis. Jennifer Isaac, Sis. Linda Isaac, Bro. Houston Moses and Pastor Lucanas Isaac.
Each speaker ministered God's Words and highlighted the importance of being different and standing up for what is right.
The children were split into three groups for their electives. Each group focused on one of the elements which were are made up of.
There groups and group leaders were:
Body - Navani Chetty & Annalene Govender
Mind - Odelle Muthu & Jennifer Pillay
Spirit - Titus Govender & Shireen Pillay
There were a lot of firsts at this camp for many children from travelling on a bus to owning their toiletries and sliding down into a swimming pool. However, the first that they will value for the rest of their lives is the first time that they experienced the presence of God.
It takes courage to stand up for the truth. Like Daniel, who dared to stand up and stand out, each child left the camp empowered and equipped with the tools they need to be courageous in a world where the truth is optional.
