Mountview Secondary School has a history of high levels of education with many of our students receiving high honours at regional and national levels. Students are required to select a course for study for the FET phase (Grade 10 - 12). All learners will be offered a list of compulsory subjects and will be allowed to select 3 electives.

Co- curricular
The school has an excellent co-curricular record with active clubs including the media club, poverty alleviation club, debating society music club, health and environment club and various subject societies.
Our school was selected to participate in an international debating competition in the Czech republic and several members of the debating team have provincial debating colours. The School also has an impressive track record in chess with learners having attained Provincial and National colours.
Extra- curricular
Mountview Secondary has a qualified sports coach and the school has an excellent track record in soccer, volleyball, table tennis, chess and netball at the Tonver Games .The school also hosts an annual Athletics meeting and Fun run.
Facilities at Mountview Secondary include two computer laboratories, three science laboratories, specialist rooms for Engineering, Graphics& Design as well as for Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, Consumer Studies and a workshop for Mechanical Technology. The school has internet facilities available for learners.
