MVSS Debaters are at it again!
Mountview Secondary School debaters excelled at the finals of the Phoenix Debating League Regional Championships 2017 hosted by the Phoenix Sports Festival. The MVSS Junior team emerged winners with Thea Earnest achieving overall best speaker. The team comprised of Thea Earnest, Wardah Hoosen, Sumaya Wazar and Theshalin Pillay.

The MVSS senior team achieved second best team with Siyabonga Mtshali receiving the S Kooblal Spirit of Debating Award. The senior team comprised of Siyabonga Mtshali, Robert Mathenjwa, Sapna Singh and Gemma Muthen.

Robert Mathenjwa also performed extremely well at the Asian World Debating Championship in Thailand reaching the Novice finals against India and ranking as one of the top 25 speakers in the international tournament.
