On Mrs. N Sivjattan was instated as the first female principal of Mountview Secondary School. Please see her speech below:

"It is indeed an honour to be appointed as the first female principal in the history of Mountview Secondary School. I wish to acknowledge the hard work, dedication and perseverance of all those stakeholders.
I believe the staff and learners represent the true spirit of our school motto" STRIVE ". Striving for excellence also applies to the staff and parents to whom I am very grateful for their contribution in teaching and guiding our learners to their very well deserved academic success. At MVSS we aim high, strongly driven by our core values, where the dignity of work in pursuit of excellence reflects our enduring belief in hard work and that every learner has a gift that has to be encouraged and nurtured. This together with parental support will assist our learners in realising their full potential.
Our staff goes the extra mile in providing extra tuition for free in the mornings or after school and during weekends and school holidays. Our primary motivation is to give our learners every possible assistance to achieve success in the examinations.
Our academic results are a true representation of the commitment of the staff, sustained application by our learners and the continuous encouragement provided by parents at home. As strong believers in holistic education, we view the success of our school as much more than the achievement of examination results. We want all learners to give off their best across the whole curriculum.
The examples we set as parents and educators are strong motivators that make learners push themselves to achieve their full potential. It is only through parental support and involvement that we can attain success and achieve our core goals as a school .
Learners be proud, not just of your achievements but of the fine young men and women you are in the process of becoming. You have aspired, endeavoured and achieved and I have no doubt you will continue to do so as you continue on with your life journeys."
"Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit.”
